The 5th Annual RewardStyle Conference

RECAP OF DAY ONE OF THE #rSthecon

I am really excited to share with you my recent experience of attending the #rSthecon. This is the annual RewardStyle (LiketoKnot.it) conference held in Dallas, TX. This conference is a three-day event bringing together the top two hundred bloggers that work for RS. It is an honor to be invited and I learned more than I ever imagined! (still not sure HOW I was included in the top 200!) The 5th annual RewardStyle Conference was held at the Hotel Crescent Court in downtown Dallas, a gorgeous hotel that seemed to me to have a Parisian architectural style. Thursday afternoon all the fashion bloggers eagerly arrived with at least two large suitcases in hand and checked into the conference. It was a lobby full of gorgeous women.... crazy to see so many beautiful stylish women in one place! Talk about overwhelming!

The first night there was an amazing cocktail party given by Sole Society outside at the rooftop pool area.

It was a picture perfect sky that evening, as I entered the party I was given a watermelon margarita that was simply delicious. I was a bit nervous about not really knowing anyone and had a major fear that I wouldn’t be able to relate to anyone. As a mother of three and turning 40 in two weeks, I’m not exactly the typical fashion blogger! I was experiencing some major anxiety! Well, I overcame my fear and just put myself out there. I literally walked up to women that I follow and introduced myself in that dorkie “I follow you” way!! Ha! As the night went on it actually turned out to be a very fun evening and I am sure the cocktails helped give me some liquid courage as well. I chatted with Landyn from LivingwithLandyn.com for a good portion of the night because we had so much in common, both being moms, bloggers, & approaching the big 4-0 this summer! Even though she was a newbie to the conference, I was very impressed with how Landyn has grown her brand in such a short time even debuting her very own home and jewelry line. I found her story very encouraging and inspiring.

After the cocktail party, I ended up grabbing a delicious Mexican dinner with my hubby who came all the way to Dallas to support me at my first RS conference. He is not only my photographer but my biggest cheerleader helping me believe in myself. Not sure I could have done it without his support! Love him!

This was my look for the rooftop pool party. The invite said beachy chic so I wanted to have an easy fun effortless look. Loved this dress, it is the perfect combo of sweet and sexy.
