3 TIPS FOR STAYING ACTIVE

It definitely isn't easy staying motivated to workout during this challenging time. But for me, if I don't get to break a sweat, my mood drops drastically. Staying active is not only good for your physical health but for your mental health as well. When you work out endorphins are released into your body naturally boosting your mood!

Schedule Your Exercise

For me, if I don't get a workout in before breakfast, it usually doesn't happen unless I have a Zoom class scheduled for later that day. It's helpful and necessary for me to set my alarm to work out before the breakfast/homeschooling routine begins. It's definitely a challenge to get up early when the kids don't HAVE to be out the door for school. But it's so worth it to keep up this healthy routine, it sets your tone for the entire day!

Use What You Have

No fancy gym equipment in your home? No problem. Sit-ups, push-ups, yoga, and many other types of exercise can be done with no equipment at all. Walking (or running) requires nothing more than a pair of sneakers. Simple household items such as a bag of sugar, cans of soup or a bottle of laundry detergent can be used as weights if you’re starting out with strength training.

Treat Yourself To New Active Wear

I know for me, there is no bigger motivator to get moving than a new workout look! Not only have we been living in active wear lately, but with everything we are handling lately we deserve a fresh pair of leggings! LOL! I just got in this new athlesiure look from Nordstrom and I am LOVING it!

Nordstrom is always my go-to for active wear. Their selection is like none other! Also, I love that they have curb-side pickup for your online order or FREE shipping with FREE returns-so convenient!

My new zip-up jacket seen here is super soft and affordable! It runs true to size. It comes in three colors.

I am seriously obsessed with these new high-waist leggings! They are so flattering and the side pocket detail is key! It is hard to believe they are only $65, wearing a small.

WORKOUT BRAS

These new Nike sneakers are extremely comfortable and well-made! They are a bit of a splurge BUT in my option so worth it! They are the best running shoes I've ever owned! I ordered a half size up as I do in all sneakers.

I hope this post motivates you to get moving, and trust me you'll be happy you did!

Jess
