3 TIPS FOR MIXING PATTERNS THIS SPRING

Mixing patterns is a spring trend that some seem to pull off effortlessly. You can master this trend too by following three basic guidelines laid out in this post. For example, I am sharing this fun mixed print spring look with Walmart today that I am loving!

1. Leopard is a neutral. When mixing patterns treat leopard as a neutral, even if you find a bold bright spring leopard print! Walmart has so many bright animal prints to choose from this spring! I decided to pair this fun cami that is only $17 (wearing small) with this adorable tie-dye denim jacket ($30/wearing small) to try out this trend! I've been loving the addition of tie-dye to my closet this season.

2. Stick with the same color palette and/or pull the look together with one common color. The style will look cohesive and put together if you stick with the same color hues. The blue colors in this cami and the tie-dye jacket work together nicely.

3. Stick with the same scale. Avoid visual overload by pairing patterns of different sizes. In this look the patterns of the cami and jacket have a similar proportion creating a on-trend seamless style.
